I was asked by doobieashtray to post my grow log in this section.

Hello LBH land! I'll try my best to not disappoint although I'm not off to a stelar start.

Long story short I put 6 Sour Diesel Haze Regular seeds in glass of spring water today, I have one seedling that just shot out 2 leaves that's about 4 days old.

My setup:
90 watt lighthouse UFO for seedlings
240 watt Blackstar Veg LED (first grow with this!)
400 watt HPS for flower

I'll be using FullDuplex's soil mix for transplant at sex
https://www.autoflower.org/f44/fds-guide-hefty-autos-2884.html

Seedlings go in Sunshine #4 with some Lime and Earthworm castings tossed in

And nutes are AN's Ph Perf. GMB line. I'll supplement CalMAg here and there.

All in a 2x8 3 stage stealth closet.
I generally start 10 seeds, choose the best 4 to grow out. Every 4-5 weeks I start a new batch so I chop about once a month. 10 seedlings, 4 veg/preflower, and 4 flower all at once.

I think that covers all the bases.

Cheers all.

Best of luck savoy...Hop digity

Not yet pretty boring. The seeds sank and are in paper towels, hopefully tonight I'll see tails and drop them in some dirt. The one that germed from my first attempt is doing fine. There are 3 other seedlings one other strain, the other 2 got mixed up so they might all be SDH or one could be the other strain. I'm hoping I'll be able to tell the difference as things progress haha.

To summarize 1 SDH seedling, 1 Royal Bluberry, 2 that could be one or the other, 6 seeds waiting to germ.
I'm not going to talk much about the RB much as this is LBH's section, unless that is a strain they carry. I don't pay a ton of attention to seed banks and theyre relationship with different breeders. Still getting my feet wet as it were with trying different strains. I grew only one for over a year, now I'm mixing it up to find what I prefer. Maybe when I really know what I'm doing I'll get into doing my own hybrid. I get the principles of breeding, but the finer points of crossing and knowing the genetic family tree escapes me.

If anyone feel like giving me some pointers or links beyond seed production and making uninformed hybrids I'd love it. I'm friendly with Nico Escondito (high times cultivation editor) he and I talked at length about crosses, he went on about irresponsible breeding for a bit and stressed the importance of knowing the genetics behind your cross. Though his knowledge lies in photos. Probably sound advice.

Thanks doobie. I've done it a few different ways. I'm sure as nature intended it is ultimately the best. I usually have good rates doing the paper towel thing. Mostly its because I get too impatient and start thinking something went wrong around day 3 then I start poking around. I put 2 with tails in dirt last night. Waiting on the rest. I actually have enough seedlings to have a full boat for that cycle. I just hedge my bets with too many seeds so I don't end up with a sausage party.

Things will start moving soon, as soon as I see a few sets of leaves happening I'll put some pics up. The first 3 weeks of a grow are so boring.

In the meantime I made my first batch of QWISO from an oz of trim I had laying around. I can't believe it took 2 years of growing to finally make some hash, soooo easy. I got a nice looking amount but I don't have a sensitive enough scale to know the weight. Next time I get a fat harvest I may allocate some good buds foe QWISO.

Cheers

Damn bro. Ur slacken lol just given you shit. Everythi g sounds good to go

LOL making hash was one of the first things I did LOL I used dry ice.Next ill make some good butta the dutch way106.pngYea this is the boreing time..I use it to catch up post and reading about new stuff..Im trying to lock myself into a new auto breeding project but its just so hard to choose 1 strain LOL
