So not a total newbue grower, but advice is greatly appreicated. To start off, I pieced everything together and am planning on one more cheap led to see how it goes.
So without further ado; the set up is; a 4 inch fan filter combo
3 gallon dwc with 4" round disks (buckets)
Nutes

are GROTEK mega pack plus a cal mag to be named later
A 4x4 tent
A 1500w cheap cob (Amazon) will be 2 before flower
Seeds are;
A sour orange diesel kush and alien vs triangle both from mephisto
SODK sprouted no problem, avt, we will see what happens. Quick pics of the tent.

You might consider raising your carbon filter above your plants or hang it just below ceiling. It will be more efficient raised. Good luck with the grow. Hope it's a great harvest.

Well it has been a week since I put the beans in. The S.O.D.K took, the avt I tried early and failed. So there is a new avt sprouting and it's showing life. I lifted the carbon filter as suggested, moved some things around and tonight we are listening to music lol.

So it's been another week. I have had a bad time with my 2 free avt seeds. The first I tried to plant early, no go there. The second snapped it's own tap root over night. So the little one in the second picture is my second sodk that is 14 hours old (14 from being moved from tissue to the bucket). Slow starts, but I expect that with the way I grow, as I use no medium other than expanded clay pellets and water. From the looks of the first sodk, tight internodes and she wants to shoot out. Already seeing the beginnings of branches from the first "true" leaves. Nutes have been as directed by growtek for auto flowers. Still need to get a cal mag. Am hoping for at least a 6 oz harvest. Plus making bubble hash from live resin.

So a little late update this week. The first sodk had 2 tiny branches above the first "true" leaves and said leaves cut off, and her top fan leaves tucked. It's hard to believe these two are only about 11 days apart.

As far as ph levels or ec/ppm, well I haven't factored that into this first grow. I'm just gonna play it by ear so to say lol. If need be I will spring for a meter.

Well it was a rough 10 days for SODK 1. I had overloaded her with nutes due to being distracted and forgetting my measurements. So she had an iron lock out. After the second day, I cleaned/swapped her bucket to half recommended nutes for the earlier week. After about 5 days with no improvement, I got real worried and was gonna call in to work sick just so I could go to the local hydro store lol, but low and behold, she came back that very morning. Now she is showing a want for a calmag so that will be bought on payday( the 21st). Pics in next post.

Pics in second post.So it's been a few weeks some my last post. Thought I would throw an update out there. My first SODK has been very temperamental since seeming to have a iron lockout. Once again she showed signs of the same lockout on the new res change, but only on half the plant ( by with I mean a left and right half, not top and bottom). This plant is a mystery to me as she is doing things I have not seen before. There is her lockout issues, affecting one side of the plant, and her early pistols showing her sex burst out with between 6 and 16 hairs. And ways the second SODK is coming along nicely she has had a little lst in the last couple days, not that it was needed but just wanted to play a bit lol. Anyways, here are the pics. First 3 are SODK1, second 3 are SODK2.
