rust spots

Hey guys one of my plants royal dwarf has a leaf that looks like its got a spot of rust on it they are 18 days old they are being grown in jhon innes no3 which is ment to have enuf food for up to 5 weeks any sugestions on what it could be

hey bro I had a similar problem as you mentioned. It started around the same time. It can ph related in which locked out P.. That is what happened to me and what i did was flushed my plant to raise ph and gave her a foliar feeding being that my ph was off and it fixed her up.. good luck..

Dank0r its funny you say it could be ph realated because i made a thread about my ph being between 2-3 but people were saying that it is very very very low and maybe my ph meter was broke and to be honest i did think it was my meter and now uve said about the rust spots could be the ph its makeing me think twice.

Im growing with jhon innes no3 and ph is normaly about 6.0 and the ladies are only young.

Rust spots usually indicate a cal/mag problem but not in a plant that young. If your pH really is 6.0, that's a bit too low. You really need to know where your pH is at before you do anything else.

Can any one recomend a good ph meter thats quite cheap because i only got one a week or so ago and it was reading ph wrong because it was broke

Apparently there is a water ph tester and a soil ph tester. Red eyed recommended a water tester above and there is a current discussion of a cheap soil tester here.

the local place i got my ph+water tester from wont even give me a refund its a piss take so thats £40 quid i wont see again
