how do i get rid of rust on a budding plant? if they were not budding i'd spray them with baking soda solution. i know i need to bring my humidity down. is there any thing systemic i can use?

wish i could help you bro , i can feel your angst from here. i'm sure someone with experience of it will chime in and help out. hang in there:peace:

Sounds like you might have a calcium or magnesium deficiency, hard to say with no pictures... If you mean you have rust colored spots on the leaves maybe along with leaf curl from the tips in I would confirm the problem and feed appropriately... Posting pics will help diagnose problems like this...

no curling just rust spots that showed up over night. i use happy frog soil and have never had a nute prob before growing photos. this is my first auto. i did water with molasses yesterday. i looked with 30x magnifier for thrips. i did have a thrip and fungus knat prob i cured with BT powder and peroxide.

Without pics people will just have to have a wild guess as to what your real problem is.
Have you checked the runoff for PH, EC and little critters.
You said you had Fungus Gnats , you sure they are all gone?
Fungus Gnats will go into the holes in the bottom of pots just as fast as they will populate the top.

Best of luck :)

P.S. Rust is a Fungus and very hard to get rid of unless you use some nasty ass chemicals, Mancozeb works for most Fungal problems but it is not something I would be spraying on my weed.
Mancozeb is popular for the treatment of Powdery Mildew in high humidity areas.

ya its rust. i been growing 15+ yrs. i've had it before. baking soda solution works great but u cant spray it on to buds. and i got a sticky fly trap and been looking hard for critters. i also put a piece of potato and a piece of a mouse sticky trap on the soil. got 1000's the first day. since i used the BT powder and the peroxide theres none on the sticky.

Man that sucks if you do have rust.....

For "Rust" I suggest rip and burn then sterilize the grow area....other than that sadly I cannot help
Would still like to see some pics :)

i pulled every leaf that had even 1 spot of rust. bleached the whole room lights and all. i'm just gonna keep pulling leaves if i have to and salvage what i can. i also wiped down each individual leaf with baking soda solution.

http://www.plant-magic.co.uk/products/essence.html

Thats cured some leaf spot fungus i had in a previous grow or two. it also helps the plant recover from the fungus.

Are you sure the spots are not caused by lack of calcium uptake for w/e reason?

e2a// You can use essence right up until last couple of days before harvest with no ill effects, it's purely organic.

ya i'm pretty sure. i've never had any nute probs in 5 years using happy frog soil. and the leaves are not curlng. thanks i'll try it.
