When you are under a single light source you move the plants around so they all end up with even light in the course of their lives. The only get disoriented when they smoke too much of themselves.
Very little in my opinion as the sun penetrates enough the difference would be negligible. If turning them won't give you a hernia then it sure won't hurt the plants. Do that before watering for a lighter load.
