Just picked up some new Roots Organic original soil along side with Roots Organic Uprising grow and bloom. Curious if anyone could point me to a feeding schedule for them. The bags say 1 tsp for 3 gallons mixed in it sounds like. Online schedule shows week 2 to top dress or feed. Planning to go that route currently and adding supplemental cal mag when needed. Any other things to be added or tips I'm all ears. Thanks!

@notoriouscheech this is the schedule I use out of the Aurora Innovations 2018 product catalog. It is super easy to use. I dip a tablespoon in the bag and sprinkle on top of the soil. I use 5 gallon buckets to grow in

@notoriouscheech I will give some more details, sorry I did not have time earlier. I have been using the Roots Organic original soil and amendments for about 4 grows now. I grow photo periods and have a grow going in the photosensitive grow journal section. I stick to the schedule with the provided stuff from the player pack (I buy the player packs). At flower I supplement with Bloombastic. I also use cal mag every water. I use RO water. The Roots amendments after top dress I work it in the top of the soil with my fingers and I have never had sick plants or burn even after mistaking double doses. The product manual is in the player pack box. I have not tried the Terp tea yet I only top dress and use the Bloombastic (at flower) this gives a 100% organic grow.

Very interesting.. Any idea why yours is in Tablespoons but on their website they only recommend a teaspoon? Didnt seem like much however that was what I was going to go with... Now I'll have to think about it! It also suggests to apply week 2/4 instead of 1/3. Thoughts?

Thanks a ton for the info it truly is very much appreciated! I currently only have the uprising bloom/grow but I do have liquid calmag along with some other liquid nutes I may mix in. Will have to do a bit more research on that though as I dont want to over do anything.

Do you mix any of your dry stuff into the soil before you put the seed in or only top dress? Thanks again!

It looks like to me that their recommendation of teaspoons is because of the 3 gallon pot size. The page in my catalog at the top states 10 to 20 gallon container size. I use 5 gallon buckets and I have not had any problems with the extra. I just doubled up 2 tablespoons each of the foundation and grow and the only thing that happened is that my Bruce Banner's grew 4 inches in 3 days (nice thing about organics). The difference in the week schedule I think is because 1 schedule is for the use of their full range of feed and the other is more oriented to a more limited feed 2 types instead of 10. I put my seeds after they have tails in the paper towel method of germination in the Roots organics original soil with nothing else. After I transplant from solo cups (I start in solo cups) I wait a week for them to take hold in their new pot and then give them the Oregonism XL and the uprising grow and foundation and just follow the schedule for the rest of the grow. Hope I helped.

@Green Hornet Thats great to know! Sounds like its wonderful stuff with excellent growth. Just planted my first seeds into the Roots Organic. Cant wait to see what happens. Thinking after a week I will amend some uprising grow into it. You have absolutely helped a ton. Do you think I would be better off to purchase some of the foundation as well? Currently just have the uprising grow/bloom along with some liquid nutes. Fox Farms trio, cal mag, molasses, seaweed, armor si, etc.

Thanks again!

@notoriouscheech From what I have seen at my local grow shop the player pack is the best value it's about 60 bucks but goes along way. The Oregonism XL is important because it gives the soil life so in my opinion that's important also. I have not looked at other substitutes but since I have been using everything in the player pack I don't know what would happen if I stopped using one of them or which one is the most important.

@Green Hornet Damn! DIdnt even know about the player pack and with the shut downs currently going on I wasnt able to shop it. I did mix in some Azos/Mykos and plan on using a little bit of fish sh!t and/or recharge. Do you think that would take the place of Oregonism XL or should i look into that as well? Completely understandable!

Sorry Bro I really do not know about any of the other stuff. I get worm castings from a worm farm and add dried banana peels and that is all I have used.
