Depends how you're using it really.
If you're biotabs and only fill with water then no need. I have an air stone in mine but only cos I had a spare outlet on my pump. I don't think it makes any difference?
If you're using nutes then yes a small fish tank pump to stop them settling to the bottom.

Thanks. Yeah, I planned to use Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop & Bud Explosion.

Question for my seasoned Autopot users... do you put any sort of pump or aquarium wave maker in your reservoir to keep things circulating, or is it not needed? Got my Smartpot Autopot system delivered and want to ensure she's setup right. No more hand watering, so my back will thank me lol. Thanks!
Looking forward to seeing you crank out a few more monsters! For the record, I kinda just mix/stir it around a bit daily...

I don't have anything in the res. Only time it's mainly getting mixed up is when I fill it up again with more nutes to keep it topped off. I've
been doing it this way for about 3yrs. There was someone else that did a test using airstone and circulating pump in the res and it ended
up causing the ph to rise.

i use a small pump in mine to keep things mixed but airstones mess your ph up I've always been told this is what i use

Thanks guys. Before I saw all of your replies, I hastily ordered an aquarium wave maker as it was suggested to me from a buddy on Instagram. I went ahead and dropped that in the reservoir. As long as it doesn't affect pH, I'll leave it in there... or maybe not lol.

Will probably be ok if you just manually turn it on to stir up the res. I'm just going by what the other member had posted when he did the testing of PH fluctuation between plain res, airstone and submersible pump. I know I don't mess with the res besides when I add fresh nutes in to top off.

Good to hear and thank you for the info. And Wow! Massive jungle you got there! I'm definitely excited to see what my girls do with the autopot system. Definitely am already loving not having to hand water daily and deal with run off.

What nutes you using? I am using Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop + Bud Explosion + SLF-100 currently. Shouldn't be an issue with the powdered nutes like Megacrop/BE as I've seen others using them with autopot systems.

I'm using Megacrop V1, SweetCandy, (bloom) Redline and Mother Monarch. I also add Drip Clean to the res.
