OK I have sprayed em with neem oil, insectifidal soap and alcohol. I am shutting down my grow room to get rid of em.

What do you guys suggest? My grow room isn't connected diredtly to the rest of my house so I can just turn off the fans and just blast away. I have killed the little yellow ones before but never had the rjed ones inside. I think they are tougher. So let me hear your suggestion poor Nelson needs help. I am considering letting go a can of raid, hanging two or three Vapona nerve gas things, even nuclear weapons if I have to go that far.

Sorry Nelson really have nothing to offer but reading some threads/posts here a few members are saying it's not good to use Tobacco/water because the tobacco may carry viruses. Just in case you were planning to use that

I'll take the sympahy carlos as I am truly having a really shitty week.

Well I sure didn't get much help on this site with my problem with the red spider mites. I totally shut down the indoor grow room after the mites rejected my efforts to irradicate them with neem oil solution and Safer's soap.

I checked Ed Rosenthall's site and read what Cervantes had to say.

Finally I decided, after not finding anything specific to help me in either I wood go with a couple Vapona strips hanging in the bubbly tank room as I w have closed off all the lights and circulation fans. All the places I tried no longer sell this product as it was considered way too dangerous as it is mostly nerve gas. I am going with a can of raid especially designed to kill spiders. I will hold my breath and spray for as long as I can hold my breath. I will repeat this twice more a week apart and then clean up with bleach solution walls, cieling and tank. I am then going to empty the tank before I start up again. I will then reload the tank with nuits and hatch out some seeds. Good luck to me as I wish I could have found out more to this problem

honestly you need to clear out your space and have it sprayed down pretty well along with the rest of your house if you have carpet. they will run away from the space into your carpeting if its there. sorry for the lack of help but resistant mites like that are not THAT common. do you live near some woods?

I feel I'm a little late but the no pest strips from hot shot works well against spider mites put in in your tent/cab 3 days later no mites then take it out. It's not organic but It gets the job done If you want them dead. I know some growers that stand by the no pest strips and I've seen it work.

I live practically in the woods. We have 400 ft. of drive way to get to the road. My wife would never let me use that kind of poison on the rest of the house. She would just move out and I like her around. I guess if the spider mites come back after the raid treatment then I will have to rethink my indoor grow room. Other thean the spider mites I have no other problem but these mites are a doosey of a problem.

Have you considered buying a grow tent? It would keep everything separate for the household's sake and you would have the ability to filter air in and out. Just an Idea for next time...

Thanks for the reply. Believe me awhen it comes to my grow room which is 8' X 8' with 8 ' cielings, I want total geneside in my space. Is it www. hotshot.com to find the pest strips? I will try anything. I am gonig with the raid product but I wouldn't mind adding the pest strips after the clean up.

I have a seperate grow room with walls cieling and doors and fan system all seperate from the house. I filter the air going out and what you say maybe the answer filtering the air coming in. I have a seperate room I use for seed polination and it has a heppa filter to stop the pollen from leaving.

I have a large tent that is 9 X 4.5 ft area and 85.5 inches tall, I think you can even get a 9 X 9 (Point being they make em big!)... It would also be much easier to clean as they often come with a "second floor" which is just Velcro to the inside and makes it so you can un-strap it and take the whole thing outside to shake out and clean while the tent sits inside...
