Hi all this is my wedding cake auto at day 65. She’s super frosty and the trichomes are all milky but yet to amber. The reason I ask is that sides of the colas which haven’t had as much light exposure are still fresh looking in colour (still milky trichs) and don’t look as though they have quite ripened as much as the other parts of the plant.

Hello @Dannyy This is always a judgement call. Some strains do not show much amber? Some people do harvest over a week or so allowing colas that are not as ripe as others to stay on the plant a bit longer. I personally don't bother. IMPO once the trichomes are cloudy the harvest window opens.

:goodluck:

Hey MOG thanks for the reply! Yes all trichomes are cloudy I was just concerned about the more fresher looking parts of the bud like I mentioned previously this is from lack of light or when colas, bud sites have grown closely together. It’s my fault for not separating the branches allowing light penetration.

Colas will ripen without the light hitting them directly. I am one of a few growers that lets the little buds on the bottom inside grow and they ripen just fine.

So taking some leafs off the top to let light further down is pointless? I went ahead and stupidly never asked on here. Went all gungho, thankfully never went too mad!
Thanks,

This depends on the quality of your lights and the reflective quality of your walls.

It's a spider farmer SF2000 samsung diodes with ir one? If that helps. It's not the best in the market, but it suited my budget and space. Wanted the Mars hydro but the one I liked was 108cm and my space was only 104cm. Way better than the cheap blurple I used on 2 occasions before, it died on the 2and run.
Diamond mylar on walls, as flat as I could get it.

I'd be chopping her down myself. If I was in your shoes shed be hang drying right now. Lol

Nice colas! If not done they are within days. Usually, when I see new white pistils coming out the top and it looking like it wants to foxtail and leaves look like fall it is done or very close
