Welcome AFN to my Second Outdoor Grow!!!
Hoping to get some more sun for these plants than did last round.
I have been prepping for about a month now. I am going to run 4 plants in all recycled soil.
I will be using 3 Grass Roots fabric pots (two 7 gal & one 10 gal) & 5 gallon random fabric pot that I grew Jean-O's Voodoo in.
The Voodoo fabric pot was Ocean Forest w/ some added perlite and will be amended with G&B Organics 4-4-4 and some dolomite lime before transplant.
The Grass Roots Fabric Pots have the old recycled soil from the last outdoor run. I dumped both pots onto a tarp then added the 4-4-4, dolomite Lime, Earth worm castings and Mycos. Got it nice and wet and let it sit in the tarp for the last couple weeks. Man this soil looks, feels and smells great. I am excited to use it, some dark fluffy goodness. I just filled the pots up with this mix and watered in with quijalla and recharge. Then added barley straw as a mulch. They are on the south side of the house.
Munching on some carrots out of the garden while I work...yum yummmm
Genetics
I made a list of different cultivars I would want to run outside and let my wife pick them. These are the 4 that she landed on:
1) Speed Run Seeds - Iced Latte (Hybrid)
2) Atlas Seeds - Grease Gun (Sativa Hybrid)
3) Twisted Tree Freebie - Pure Michigan x Twisted Cookies (unknown)
4) ILGM - Blueberry (Indica)
I will be starting them indoors in solo cup sized pots and transplanting after they have established for a week or two. I made the mistake of placing the cups on the ground after they popped under a rather large plant and they stretched a bit. They have recovered nicely but still much lankier then I like. I have been placing them outside the last 4 days to get adjusted to the sun. The first day was 45 min and today was 2 hours. I will continue this process for a couple more day then look to transplant into their forever home. They were put in their cups 2 days after germinating on January 23. All popped out the next day with helmet head.
