Lighting Questions regarding daisy chaining

Are my plants losing light when I daisy chain my lights. Also, I recently had to replace the first light in my row of daisy chains: do you think it burning out in the first month of having it is due to cheap build or extra stress from being the first light in the chain? Thanks for your help!

These are advertised as 2000w xeccon cannalights but the actual wattage is surely much lower.

Make and model would be nice. Either way, daisychaining lights only means they are set in parallel (individual drivers) or series (common driver).

If it's parallel (like with SanLight and most all-in-one lights of CannaLight) it's just you 'daisychaining' the mains to the next one. Here to a certain extent the light modules won't interfere with each other in anyway. (just always respect the maximum count of lights)
If it's series (like a lot of the bars and strips) you are 'daisychaining' the current in that case more LEDs without more power will mean your LEDs will start to dim until they are below there forward voltage and all of your lights will go out. Still nothing to worry about, just add power or substract light.

In your case I'm actually 100% sure it's just daisychaining the mains in that case the lights don't interact with each other. Any problem with lamp A is caused by (touching) lamp A, never by lamp B (and the other way around of course except if you loosen the daisychain plug too much )

The lights maybe getting stressed. Not sure of actual wire size, amp draw, volt etc. There can be parts that are underrated though the wire is right.
Touch and smell. Check amps, check enclosure temps. Smell anything like smoke, rubber, or that general hot electronics smell.. you def. May be stressing them.
Grab you a PAR meter. Should be standard tool for any one with an LED light of any kind. You are shooting for 200 at early grow, 400 mid/teens, 400-600 early flower 600-850 at canopy for naturally ventilated grows at regulated temperatures.

Is that the same as a lux meter? Thank you for the help im using (6) 2000 watt xeccon cannalights in an 8x8 tent, is it possible that it will be too much light when starting my seeds and for young seedlings?

No but you can use that to have an indication as well:

• Clones and seedlings: 5,000–7,000 lux
• Vegetative growth: 15,000–50,000 lux
• Flowering: 45,000–65,000 lux
• Maximum recommended amount of light: 75,000 lux

They generate around 13k lumen of light, that is enough for one 2x2. So you only have 'enough' light for a 4x6 but I think if you use LST and FIM to create a very even canopy and hang your lights low enough you should be able to yield over a kilo... Just check that they always have a fair surface of light that is between the measurements recommended (cf supra).

Yes, I would put them in a 4x6 config in the middle of your tent. Have 6 RDWC buckets with decent pumps (around 6l/min per bucket) and grow 6 plants with FIM, SCROG, LST. Then you have enough room to work around them, they can grow a bit wider and you have enough light four every plant (one lamp per plant).
