I sucessfuly germinated and started to grow 4 plants, that was planted on separate dates. 2 x Northern Lights auto, and 2 x Fast Eddy CBD. The plants are between 5-7 weeks old.

I have been having some issues with high humidity approaching low 70% RH range (the meter seems somewhat accurate). I noticed on 2 leafs some small white stuff, wich seems to be a start to powdery mildew. After reading up on remedies i decided to mix 3:2 milk water solution and spray it on the plants.

Besides this i have taken action in lowering the humidity levels. Now i have a white coating on the leafs from the solution, i am wondering the following.

1. Should i clean/remove the coating on the leafs? Has anybody used this method before some people seems to agree that it is beneficial to the plants, regardless if you have PM or not.

2. What is your opinion on the milk solution, seems more natural then buying synthetic stuff.

I personally haven't had to deal with this issue, but have seen several growers here on the site use this method with success. Like you, I'm all about keeping chemicals off the girls. It would be my starting point too.
Will keep my fingers crossed it takes care of the issue.

Thanks for the reply i agree with you on the less "chemical" stance.

Hey... at least your not trying to convince me its trichs...

Had a guy do that once on an indoor grow... PM everywhere... to the point I started thinking troll.
I still wonder if he smoked it and sold it.

Sooo to be short milk bacille does work well to change ph to slow pm or stop it when inoculated before pm set in and more of a prevent of conditions.
Once pm is set more drastic measures should be taken first then later apps of milk bacille to softly encourage hostile conditions for pm to reoccur.
You have to stop spreadingng of spores as well or it will only continue.
Interruption of life cycle is key early because it is rapid.
I would always start with a dilute h2o2 treatment first if symptoms are present.
Some use a sulphur burner as prevent.
It atomiser sulphur into air and the particles settle on leaf surface and changes ph to a range pm can't take hold.
A coupl other ways but most have milk on hand to cheaply produce milk bacille to treat ahead of time.
If present start w h202 first as prevoiusly stated immediate action treatment.
Or remove all infected areas .
Problem is if you see it you have little time to cure and scrub spores that will release.
H2o2 is a fine active oxidization tool for spores destruction as well.
After cleanse and repeat inoculate for later with milk bacille.
A high brix count will increase cell membrane wall thickness and make it more difficult for pm to barb into cell wall and discourage growth.
This is still a pretty quick post to be short .
Hope it helps.
Questions ask away if I can help clarify.
