i grew 4 autos this fall.out of the 2 that i harvested i found no seed in plant 1 and 40 seed on plant 2.the seed were not in the bud but below the bud.1 or 2 seed below almost all the buds. i have found no seed in any bud as of yet.would this make the seed fem seed or just a hermi?thanks in advance

my guess would be that they are hermied.

If you didn't pollinate the plant or it wasn't exposed to a male, then it probably hermied. The pollen was probably transfered to those lower buds before the upper buds grew. That would explain why there are only seeds on the lower buds. Even if the resulting seeds are females, they carry the hermie gene, so are not desirable for breeding.

seed were found under all buds even under top cola and no male was anywhere.i pulled mine when saw it was indeed a male.i had 2 plants beside one another but plant 1 had no seed. it seems the seed formed in the first sacs that appear at forks of branch where first white hairs appear

These things can do some wild shit guaranteed. The seeds will work to grow and smoke. Technically though what you have would or should classify as "feminized" seeds. They came from a female and were pollinated by a female so they are "feminized" I believe the ruderalis gene has an asexual chromosome in it somewhere. That's the only explanation for a lot of things such as my ability to make males hermie. Its just not natural. I have one strain right next to another and it doesn't seem to be isolated in any one breed.

I'd like to add this. Muddy is correct in saying these aren't suitable for breeding. Had it been the other plant that pollinated them then it would have been better. Since you say that there were none found on the buds it reduces the possibilty of that happening. You can still grow them off and maybe just maybe be lucky enough to have had the other actually be the other parent. Again its not likely if you are a very attentive person but the possibility remains.

Depending where you live pollen maybe in da air.... you didnt see any male flowers?

not a problem though--may give a few to try to a friend to see what he gets.i have a mature male in a bag for polinating purposes later.also have a female growing that was polinated from a male of the same seed.it has some seed on lower branches of 1 auto
