I will soon (hopefully) be able to start growing some buds for medicine. I have been reading and reading posts on here about soil.

My problem is that there is a Walmart & Home Depot relatively close, but I am not sure what soil to buy.

My plan is to grow under some auto's under LED's with a 24/7 light schedule. I have my tent and other equipment from a few grows a few years ago, I just need to find a soil at one of these places that is suitable.

I will crack the beans and get them started in peat pods and after a week or so, I'll put them in to planter bags, you know the black material ones.

I just need help finding a soil that the roots can grow in to without burning them.

Any ideas on soil.. Remember, I have to get it at wally world or home depot!

Crap, I do have a Lowe's close by as well!

I don't see Pro Mix on their stores website, so probably not.

Walmart online (in store?) sells Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I grew with that for a lot of years. If you do get Ocean Forest, it's a hot soil and you won't needs nutes for the first 3-4 weeks.

Find a nursery or garden store they don't sell any of that miracle grow crap. You can find much better soils at these places. They may even have locally sourced products that can be higher quality the the big brands make, and often much cheaper. I get a Canadian product locally, Lambert's, Also a brand called Isabelle. Get a potting mix and and some organic nutrients such as Doctor Earth or Jobes, etc. GOOD dry nutrients are inexpensive. Its basically super soil in a box!

As a rule I get one good for seeds and seedlings then mix in vermiculite and Coco coir.

Sent from my comfy chair.

Thanks for the Fox Farms website, I found a place close that sells their products!

I used Happy Frog before on some grows and it worked well. Thanks!
