New Grower question about rain barrels/water

I was told mosquitos and fungus knats often lay eggs in a rain barrel where larvae will later hatch. I know Fungus Knat larvae will eat your roots and harm your plant. Does mosquito larvae hurt roots like knats do? I moved the girls outdoors a few days ago and have rain barrels to water them from.

Works on fungus gnat larvae in the soil as well. Amazon, Walmart, and other places have them. I use them for fungus gnats in my grow tent.

Mosquito larvae will not harm yer plants..but you can get a puck like thing to stick in barrel and kill them.
