when I first started growing I didn't understand that the time seed companies list is mostly weeks flowering I thought it was from germination to finish so I started 8 different strains of photos thinking my autos would be finished before my photos were ready to put into bloom. I kept the photos under regular 42 watt flouresceent bulbs while in veg. and moved them to my tent to start adding height. now they have really taken off and are about 8 weeks old now and are ready to flower. my question is can I change my tent over to 12/12 to start my photos in flower while also finishing up flowering my autos they have about two weeks left and have already developed pistols are turning brown just have not showed any Amber trichs yet. or will finishing up on 12 /12 greatly lessen their yield?I am just afraid that if I keep the photos in for another two weeks they are going to be too big by the time the flower growth spurt hits. I guess I could top them but if I top them won't that set them back a couple more weeks and then I will lose the growth I wanted. any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

yep... i think your autos will be just fine.. :pass:

Breeders are not uniform in how they dispense their grow time parameters and it can definitely be a pain in the ass. Plus there are the various changing environments we all grow in and that certainly affects the plants too.

You will have no problems dropping to 12/12 to accommodate the photos. You "might" lose some yield, but it is a kind of "it is what it is" situation and you have to do the best you can. Try not to over think a decision, it can be a losing proposition. Just go for it and move on.

I feel your pain i wanted to do photos then popped acouple autos thinking one group would move outside now i dont no what to do.l want them to live in harmony......autos just started flowering photos need the fliop....could be xperiment time but then i read alot people have already tried n failed so who am i dr green thumb not..

Nice grow man. Seems like you didn't calculate wrong. I think your autos just went a really long time for some reason. Looking like you got some big plants though.

How much power are you using for flowering ?
If your autos only got two weeks left, depending on the strain, you might lose a bit of yield but it shouldn't be a lot if they have already filled up.
If the photoperiodic ones are ready to flower and u can't wait anymore, then switch to 12/12 or u might end up with plants that you won't be able to control which will end up in less overall yield.

Cheers

I have had to do this once and switched to 12/12 when my auto was early in flower. For me it meant my auto turned out really really bad. Very low yield and quality we even in terms of smell and taste.
