New Grower purpling stems

the stems are starting to turn color is it cal\mag time have not watered sence put in pots 5gal autos day 13 i have been misting with non ph water from a spring getting ph tester today going to use river water to water should be some nuts in it ? any thoughts thank you all

u use led for lighting ?
depending of ur medium , if its in soil , yes you can start the feeding and add some cal/mag in the recipe
 
I wouldn't worry about the purpling. Alot of times it's genetics. It could also be from cooler temps at night? Either way they look healthy.
I would, however, be concerned, using river water. Hopefully you have a plan to filter it. I would think river water would be a great host for bugs.

It is tough to see in the pic with lights on but, I think I see a couple rust spots in first pic, after closer inspection. @LordGreenWood is correct. You will need extra Ca/Mg with LED.
 
yup , i see the rust spots too , and yes the purpling can result of genetics
maybe a ph issue ?

btw : i add cal/ mag when i start the feeding in the 15ish days ( with light mix soil )
 
Cold night temps will cause red leaves and stems as well... or so I heard...
