Live Stoner Chat Pure White Spider With Legs That Imitate Pistils

Hi folks...I found this in the garden this morning. In the first pic, it has caught and is in the process of eating a hover bee; in the second, it appears to have either eaten the bee or dropped it.

A few months back, I found one of these on a Think Different bud, almost completely invisible as it offset its two front legs to look like pistils. That would have made for better photos, but by the time I got the camera, it was gone. Very cool little fella. :smoke:

Mannn - that is one Ugly spider!!

If i saw that on my plant i'd be running to the shop for pesticide! .. or just running away in general! ^_^

yep...a crab spider. We have them too here in the PNW, USA. Here's a pic of a yellow one I see from time to time in my flower garden..... Spider 011.jpg He usually startles the hell out of me because he hides in flowers with yellow centers and I can't see him until I have my nose in his face...lol I had a white one hanging out on my cream caramel this year. I named him Johnny (Johnny Winters).
