Some may recall my recent Gorilla Glue post about ot curling and yellowing a bit. It recovered mildly. And has new signs of growth but its week 4 and small.

In the picture the gorilla glue is the bottom right plant. The other 3 are G18 that just hit week 3 (and are already larger than the gorilla glue). They also have new signs of growth. Just slowly. At this point I may end up not making it to harvest any of them.

Im in Happy Frog mixed w perlite. My light is 60% at 18". Im watering approx 1.5 cups of water every 3 days rn. Soil seems to hold moisture until then. I have fox farms trio nutes. Big bloom. Grow big. Then tiger bloom. I measure the ppm and make sure it around 200ppm or less. I PH my water to 6. Temp is between 63-80 with day and night temps. A Heater and humidifier both inside mars hydro tent. RH between 45-75 daily. Lights are on 24 hrs.

Just gave them their first feed of the grow big (last monday-half dose). They started 1/4 dosing the big bloom on week 2.

I know the gorilla glue is hopeless pretty much yield wise. But i wana continue growing it for the education and experience. What am I doing wrong with these girls? Why wont they advance past this point?

First pic- bottom right is the GG.
Second pic- G18.

The little 2 liter domes are covering Purple Punch seedlings that I grew expecting myself to kill a few plants lol

well the good news is there doesn't seem to be any signs of sex yet that I can see from the pics. I'm assuming they are auto's.. So you might get some good growth out of them yet. I wouldn't give up on them. It looks like they are all pretty leggy. What light are you using on them ? I don't think they are getting enough or you are keeping them under those domes too long. Chuck the pop bottles after the first few days. I think it makes more sense for clones that don't have a root system than seedlings. What's better more RH or more Co2 getting to the plants ? Try to search what guys growing with your light are doing for power, distance and light schedule. Keep what ever schedule you like, just make sure if guys are running 24/0 at 20" and you are running 18/6 you might want to run yours at 18" and vice versa. Does that make sense ?

10-4. I removed the domes. Theyre under a marshydro ts1000w on 60% at 22". Ive sewrched a lot for distance and power and this setting is what I found. Should I change ?

I'm not really familiar with the light but looking at how leggy your plants are it suggests to me that they needed more. The pots/dimmers in my opinion as good as they are can also add extra complications a bit to learning your plants/light. I can tell you growing with various lights of similar style that around 30" at full power with seedlings and letting them grow into the light works well. But I've never had the luxury of a dimmer.

I found a few with plants at multiple stages that said they keep it on 75% at 18" for the couple weeks. Then they turn it up.

Since mine was at 60% and at 22" it could explain the legginess you mentioned.

I dropped the light 2 inches and upped the power to 100. Ill update in a week if theres no adverse effects

I would just bump the power to 80% and leave it at the same distance. Check on them in a few hours and see if they like it. If it's too much you will see the edges of the leaves start to curl a bit. This one might be a bit controversial but I also look for the plants to start praying. I believe that when you see them start to point up they are starting to deflect the light off of the leaves. For me that means the plant is right on the edge of it's max light it's able to absorb. So I like to see them do that but I just keep in mind that I'm right on the edge of too much.

Okay. Ill do that then. I removed the dome from a seedling and it was cupped pic attached

Should I still proceed to remove the dome and increase power?

It's hard to answer, you are juggling plants of different size/age under the same light/power and distance. That's why I like to let my plants grow to the light. Looking at how it's starting to cup and the tips I almost think it's too much N for a young plant. But really someone more experienced would have to look at it than me.. As for smaller plants if you are worried about too much light for them I would maybe move them to the outside edges of the light and see how they respond.

(edit) even that one is lookin leggy already... it wants more light.

The small guys im less worried ab. I have a seperate area w weaker grow lights I can use on em if it becomes and issue for em.

And damn I didnt think happy frog would cause a N problem.

I attached a pic of that seedlings brother plant. Same grow tent.. Same watering. Same medium.

Let me preface that I AM NOT AN EXPERIENCED GROWER. However, I too have a GG4 that is 5 days old and the leaves appear yellow'ish. IMG_1966.JPG

Is it possible it could be Genetics? Not sure as I am probably a chronic over waterer.
