Hello all,

Is there away to prevent early pistils? I've been trying to grow a gorilla cookie a few times and it keeps throwing pistils at day 20-22. Problem is that the plant is usually too small (really struggling with this strain while the others are doing great) and only doubles when stretching, resulting in a very small plant. I keep reading people saying pre-flower should be around week 4 to 5 - are there any factors that I can control?

Gaia Green 444 and worm castings only at this point.

You might want to consider another cultivar if that one keeps doing that? We can't change what inside the genetics. If they all tend to start flowering at the same time, it is what it is... :pass:

The best way to get them to veg in my opinion is to treat them properly when they’re babies and don’t stress them out too early in their life or they will show sex quicker. Most of my autos go into flower around wk4-wk5. Mostly all my strains do. However I’ve noticed that when I make a fuck up they will show sex quicker. However it is strain, environment, pot size, and grower dependant on how the veg time varies. Some of my autos don’t go into flower until wk5 and if I’m lucky, wk6. However it could be purely strain. Check growdiaries.com with your exact strain and check other growers plant sizes out so you know if it’s genetics, or something you’re doing.

I 100% agree with @MrAutoGrower . I use growdiaries.com and our members grow diaries to research strains before I even buy a certain strain, just to see what I should expect. I want to know how that strain is going to react using my particular medium and nutes, and a rough idea on length of grow.
