Hi all,

I’m on day 66 and was planning to give this Skylar White one final flush before harvesting this weekend. I haven’t given it anything but plain water since 6/1. It has been a little colder than normal so that has been 2 waterings of plain pH water since then.

As of the last 2 days the leaves are turning brown/crunchy/burnt. It looks like a phosphorus deficiency but not sure why that would be at this point in flower. The trichomes are like 20-30% Amber, rest are cloudy.

I’m trying to decide if I should harvest tonight to get ahead of whatever is happening, or flush it tonight one more time before harvesting in 2 days from now. I’m concerned the plant will keep burning and ruin it if I don’t chop now. What do you think?

Sorry for the lights-on pics, I was in a hurry to get photos so I could post them.

I f you have that many amber trics I would say chop it.When leaves start turning yellow and drying up this tells you also she is ready and this is quite normal.

...ripe and then some, take her down ASAP,... keep in mind amber is caused by THC breaking down into CBN, a less potent and narco-sleepy cannabinoid,....

Thank you! Read much of your wisdom leading up to this grow. Thank you for your vast contributions :D

I chopped her that night and currently hang drying in a cardboard box ducted to my tent to remove odor, 75F and 50% humidity.

However I have a second plant on the same timeline and turning green/yellow like a phosphorus def. she’s stunted from the beginning due to newb problems but I think I will harvest her as soon as this one is curing. Thanks both of you!

Here it is post crop before dry! Like a true stoner I forgot to weigh before we hung it up. First grow ever for me.

:smoking:-- that's the least important bit of data mate,... it's generally about 75% weight loss in water, buds shrink to apprx. half size (volume).... keep a weather eye on your T and RH% during dry: ideal is about 50% RH, 68-72F, light air movement,.. should take about 5-6 days to dry enough to start jarring and burping, prep' for final cure! ... look into scoring some moisture control packs, 62%... What conditions do you have now for drying?
:d5: nice job on the first grow Slice'! :slap:

Thank you Waira!!

I dried for 4 days hanging the stems in a cardboard box with negative air pressure passive from one end of the box (vent) through ducting and then into my tent. RH was about 40-55% during this period, temps between 72-82. I know 82 is high, so we tried to catch it when we could and get it lower.

No mold anywhere and the smaller stems snapped after 4 days. Buds felt dry. We cut and jarred accordingly and placed 62% Boveda packs in each jar.

The buds were pretty airy (using blurple LEDs) so I can only fit a half ounce in a normal mason jar.

Burping them 1x a day right now for about an hour. Is that correct? Haven’t seen any moisture collecting on the jars in between burps. The bud does feel more moist than when we jarred it, thanks to the Boveda I would assume. Planning to cure for another 1.5 weeks before I taste test - it smells pretty bad right now (the hay effect).
