New Grower Pre grow journal

Hello everyone,

I have finally came to a conclusion on the kit I will be buying and I thought I would do this prior to starting my grow/grow journal for any advice on my choices.

So next week I will be ordering.

• Homebox GrowLab 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.0m Grow Tent
• a Sunmaster Hobby 600w Digital Light Kit
• Pair of Easy Rollers
• Systemair 150mm RVK E2 A1
• 10m of 150mm Aluminium Ducting
• 3 x 150mm Jubilee Clips
• Rhino Hobby 150mm Carbon Filter
• Heavy Duty Plug & Grow Timer/Contactor
• 2 x Bag of Plagron Light Mix 50L
• Sensi bloom a/b carboload and overdrive (tangs easy auto schedule)

This is what the kit contains I am adding a hygrometer and another 4" fan for air coming in and will purchase 4 15l airpots.

Now I am struggling with what seeds to order so much choice haha. have taken a massive interest in mephisto and fast buds before that I thought I was set on Dutch passion.

Can anyone recommend a strain that has a shorter time from seed to harvest and of good quality. If I plant a single seed with a shorter life I won't go as long without a smoke, then the others I will try make up my mind.

I have a goal of maybe 3-4oz each plant, I don't know if I'm setting the bar to high for my first time but I'm sure with all the help I get from here it shouldn't be a problem.

I can finally soon say goodbye to shit £20 bags of weed and the idiots you have to deal with haha.

Great start to your list of supplies. I will say that for just starting out ditch the hygrometer and get a Ph meter. The hygrometer is nice to have but you NEED the PH meter....repeat you NEED a PH meter. You can not grow well without one. Regardless of "ph perfect". While I have never used AN products they seem overly complicated. You didn't say if you had prior experience growing or not and I believe in the K.I.S.S. method for starting out.

As for seeds 1 word ....MEPHISTO! As for strains Deep Blue C and Sour Crack. I have grown 3 Deep Blue C's and 2 Sour Cracks and they can finish in under 65 days. My last Sour Crack(my first DWC bubble bucket grow) went 64 days and finished at over 6 oz dry(likely a strain record).

I thought the name would have given it away no experience what so ever haha I have been looking at mephisto think I may go for one of each a GSC and another from fast buds. I have had a look at tangs easy auto schedule and it seems simple enough. What is the K.I.S.S method?

I thought you may have been a guy that thought he had hot bunz each to their own haha I think I have got it simple enough when I first started looking around for info I was confusing myself but now I feel confident! And finding afn has been a massive help. Can't wait to get started.

Had you thought about hydro? I am on my 2'nd DWC bubble bucket grow and it is far easier than soil and has much bigger yields.

I haven't, I have focused purely on soil and feel like I might know slightly what I'm doing haha in the future I may look to change things up.

Hey man welcome to AFN!! I just started growing about 5 months ago so I feel your pain. Sounds like you've got a good setup going and should be fairly well set.
I agree with the Mephisto suggestion. I currently have 4 sour cracks going now and they are the best growing strain I've had - granted I just changed my soil and am using Tangs easy schedule this round and so far am amazed with the results. About 23days in and growth like I've never experienced. Don't be afraid to ask any questions- lots of amazing growers with great info and always willing to help a fellow grower out!!
