What are the benefits of a photoperiod plant being planted straight into final pot size versus transplanting potting up, if any.?
Would like to hear both sides of the story. Also growers that have experienced both setups what their views are...

As long as u can see the roots and u have time u can transplant . But honestly it's better to put in final pot at the beginning. I am bout to transplant mine. Only reason I did mine this way was because they are reveg clones and needed to get them started out of the rock wool and only had a lil soil and it's been a shitty snowing last week as everyone knows lol . Just don't let them get root bound use common sense on time limits on pots . This pic shows a plant that's been in there a lil over a week. Already at the bottom. That's when u should say hmm if in a bigger pot it would be already growing down more. But if u have no time restrictions on vegging then it honestly doesn't matter roots will grow out of a root bound ball if it's not rotted

Started with autos, so just continued planting in the final pot. It's also easier if you're using an automatic watering system.

This gal sprouted in her five gallon pot, and we're just reaching the end of a bountiful harvest.

I've always planted seeds straight into their final pot no matter what I'm growing, usually it's been tomatoes, peppers and the like, once did potatoes in my living room after someone gave me one of these huge 2 foot wide "planter" pots, as then the risk of damaging anything when transplanting anything thanks to my sausage fingers is lower. No other reason, just my bear paws.
