Can someone with access to medical grade weed give a more in depth comparison to autoflowering varieties?

apparently the breeders largely make up the THC %, but AK-47 which has consistently been one of the strongest strains, is about 21%, whereas diesel ryder is apparently 19%?

Yet lots of people say the potency is lacking? how can anything even above 15% THC be lacking? is it just extremely spoilt smokers or is there something lacking in the high?

Ive heard in general the couchlock is alot less with autoflowering, is this true? this is very preferred for me

THC is only one component involved in medical cannabis.
I've found autos to work just fine for most patients, but a lot of rec users prefer something a little more potent.
So if you're using for medical - you should be fine.
For rec use, the fire isn't quite there yet (getting close), though I do believe we'll see it soon, maybe even within the next year or so.
The beauty of autos, a breeder can grow multiple generations heck of a lot quicker.

so the diesel ryder for example isn't 19% THC in your opinion?

Im in australia, so all marijuana here is about 5% poorly grown bagseed, its just hard to believe people are talking about 19% THC levels not being enough for recreation...

Autos are definitely better than most poorly grown bagweed. I would guess it's more like around 10-15% though maybe in prefect conditions & perfectly timed harvest - it might hit 19%

thankyou again so much (your advice on seedlings mix was fucking genius), im all set thanks to you

On that note I doubt 21% for an photo ak47 is a little bit of a stretch as well long as you skip the lr1 or first generation autos there will be enough potency for most

Makes me very hopeful! how does lowlife auto AK x NYC diesel and auto AK x blueberry sound?

Me Id rather go for Mi5 ak strain(big yielder with grape pheno's) and diesel ryder (supposed to stink to high heaven) I have not heard much on the lowlifes diesel

I think you would be happy with either, though AK x Blueberry is probably more towards your taste (should have more of a couchlock effect than the other)

I got the auto AK x diesel as a sativa heavy day smoke with low couchlock, and the blueberry AK as a more sluggish enjoyable tastey smoke

Btw, thankyou for the responses, this has been one of the nicest and most helpful community forum ive come across in along time

Everything for me is coming together, 24 inch PC case, 4x odor eliminating bulbs, carbon filters on exhausts, mylan to cover it up, seedling soil on top, then pre-nuted soil..

Heres a picture as a thanks for all your help

Since you are interested in blueberry and diesel, and are looking for more of a couch lock, take a look at Himalayan Blue Diesel from Short Stuff. Very potent with a wonderful smell and taste. Also, keep in mind when comparing THC percentages that those plants are grown under ideal conditions by very experienced growers. Most of us, even those of use who are more experienced with growing autos, don't reach those levels. Plus if doing a side by side comparison I doubt you could tell the difference between one that was 19% and another that was 21%. It really just comes down to smoking a couple more hits of one or the other to get the same high.

i second the blue himalaya diesel, nice fruity diesel tone to it. it also had a wonderful heady high with mild couchlock when i cropped half a week early.

About cropping early, i want the AK x diesel to be almost completely THC and no couchlock or burnout, what will be the optimal time to crop? like a week early? will that hurt total potency alot? or only the ratio?
