Are all auto's femalized? I thought that to be the case and want to make sure before I get rolling.

Absolutely not all feminized, though you will find it difficult finding a seed seller/breeder that offers non feminized auto seeds if that is what you seek. One of the vey few who offer non feminized autos is none other than the fine gents over at the Autoflower portal giftshop.

Got another question I have really been wanting to ask. Should you "top" autos to make them branch out for more bud sites? If so, when to do it?

You can top them but some breeds may not like it and I don't recommend topping autos the veg time is short and they take a while to recover and may hurt your yield.

When I decide to top if a plant looks like it will respond well to it is as soon as I see the first pre flowers. A good non fem plant that will top ok is red dwarf by Buddha seeds. The best plant I have ever had for topping was Diesel ryder by the joint doctor as far as autos go but I don't know if it is still available. I have had great success crossing auto regular strains with auto fem strains and have not had any problems with herm yet and have been doing it for over 5 years.

If your plant looks like this at pre flower than it is a good chance it will top well.

If the plant is growing strait up with very little side branching like this one, don't top. It had side branches you just cant see them in the pic but it is definitely not a bush. And yes I burned this one with nutrients a little, it was a grow years ago...
