Hey guys! I am totally new here and this is my second grow all together. This is an experimental run and my first time using autoflowering and my new LED unit.

To make my question plain and simple I will start with what I am currently up to.

2nd grow consists of:
-Small Tent
-HTG 240w 7Band LED panel. Actually pulling 155w.
-Nirvana Bubbleicious Autoflowering (femmed)
-FFOF
-I gave her two feedings of MG tomato food a week or so ago, stopped because of what I have been seeing.

As you can tell this is a very bare bones grow and I am doing it to gather observations with my LED panel. Here is the problem well concern I am having.

I know now that I should have the LED panel at least 10-12" away from the top of the plant. My bean popped on the 2nd and I put her in a jiffy pot with FFOF. I had her under a 6400k CFL for a little bit, a week or so, then I dropped her into a larger 2-3 gallon pot of FFOF as well. The first day in under the LED I was a TOTAL NOOB and had the light about an inch away from my plant. The next day the only leaves on her were horribly bleached/burned etc.

HERE IS MY PROBLEM/CONCERN:

Given all of the preceding the comments and actions I have done so far. It is appearing that new growth starts fresh and green, but ends up browning/yellowing just at the very tip. It starts at the first true set of leaves that I know I inflicted the damage on, and each set up it gets less and less in size of burn/bleach. I have the light like 14" away now so I REALLY don't think it is the light. I just am not sure what it is. I have only heard good things about FFOF so I don't think it is nute burn.. Other than the tips, (which are not ALL effected) the plant seems to be in great health.

Here is a picture!

If anyone here can let me know what I am doing wrong it would greatly be appreciated. :/ Thank you for your time!:peace:

Hey man welcome to the AFN. FFOF is good but it is said to usually be too hot for seedlings and is normally use to transplant into later after the first few weeks or until sexing. Better to start in a nuteless seedling mix to start them in.
And I hate to be the one to tell you this but I bought that same damn light and I just sent it back last week after using it after testing it out. It grows basil great(they don't flower) and it will surely sprout cannabis seedlings but it just wasn't strong enough or quite the right spectrum or right wattage of LED bulbs to do the job all the way through. As far as I know I am the only one on here that tried that same panel but I am telling you it doesn't work very well at all. I know this is disappointing it was to me too. I tried for a month thinking it wasn't the light. Granted I have had some ph issues and this is my first grow, but after adding two really cheap walmart grow lights that are 17 watts each and seeing an obvious difference overnight of 12 hours I was convinced that it was my LED light. They took it back for store credit no problem as long as it checks out to be re shelved and it did. I now have their 2 foot 4 lamp Tek light on the way as well as my entire line of nutes that I wanted, all for what I paid for the LED panel. With that being said, I cannot guarantee you 100% that it won't work, but it damn sure seems like it to me as well as a couple others here. I posted questions and everything about it before I decided to send it back. If yours works then I am proven wrong, which is fine with me. haha I think I am beter off with my re order anyway. Good luck man.

Edit: My guess is that is totally nute burn since it has been in OF since the beginning.

FFOF can be to hot for seedlings and then you fed miracle grow on top of it. I'm very confident it is nute burn. I am also thinking that you need to flush the pot to get any remaining nutes out of the soil. I Only feed my autos 25% of recommended dosage and that's when it's out of seedling stage. About 2 weeks from breaking soil. Fox farms light warrior Is good for starting
Your seedlings.

Looking at your picture I am beginning to think I had something else wrong with my setup. Which sucks but like I said I think in my setup I am better off with the new lights that I am getting as I know they work for sure and all the nutrients I wanted for the same price. I am interested in knowing how it will flower up with that panel. Are you still using the cfl or just that panel? At least if you grow all the way through with it then we know it works and that I had something else wrong. I am still learning so that is fine. Mine didn't get near as big as yours but I had other problems too. Oh well. Glad to see that it doesn actually work I guess.

hm I am not sure if my posts are going through or not. but thank you for the information squidherb. I will let it go for a bit more to see if it does what it is supposed to do or not. Then if all else fails send it back and look into the one you are mentioning. With my current location LED I thought would be my best bet. I really would like it to work. How does the light you are talking about compare to an HPS unit? What is the heat output? Noise levels if any? Will it veg and flower? Thanks again for the info!

The Tek lamps are considered T5 lights which are great but are technically cfl as they are "bent" in half to get the same output as a four foot bulb but in a two foot version. It is 220 watts and 20,000 lumens. Pretty nice. But hey, it seems to be working for you. Guess I had something else wrong. Time will tell when you harvest though. And when it starts budding actually. T5s stay pretty cool as well that's why they were my second choice above LED. As it was a store credit only because I was past HTGs 14 day return mark, then I had to get something that they sold. Otherwise I would've taken the cash and bought a Blackstar LED panel. Several great growers here use the Blackstars so I know for sure they work and are around the same price and watts and all. It basically looks just like the one you have. haha. But again, seems to be working and I was doing something else wrong. haha

Thank you Captain cure. Yes I waited a few weeks before I gave the first dose of MG feed. The dose was very small in amount, not 25% I don't think, but it was under 50%, I would say 30-38% (lol random number) But I will keep that other soil in mind for seedlings. Before with 100% success I would start my babies in MG seed starting which seemed to work amazing. And I will keep you guys posted on what I end up doing with this grow. I am going to stick by the book and follow through unless my plant out and out dies I will stick it out. lol
