As my 3rd auto flower grow is getting closer to being done I've began planning stuff for my next 5x5 grow and just wanted some feedback/advice. This next grow I'm wanting to do a mix of photo periods and autos, what I have in mind is 4 autoflowers in 3 gallon pots, along with 2 photo periods in 5 gallon pots. Plan is to run the autos to completion on 18/6 and probably plant the 2 photo periods halfway through to veg until I harvest all 4 autoflowers then switch to 12/12 for flowering the photos. Would this work okay? Also I plan on re using some roots organic soil for the photo periods, Im aware the soil will be more than likely drained of nutrients but I have a few packs of dry nutrients from roots organic grow/bloom/foundation/calmag I thought maybe I could mix with the old soil to bring it back to life ? I have some great white microbes as well I just wanna make sure I use them the correct way this round. The strains I will be running are 2 do sweet dos from sweet seeds and 4 purple dodgers (purple rocberry x jammy dodgers) from rocbudinc.

I've grown photos and autos side by side for years. I veg everything 24/0 for 3 weeks, then move to a flower tent on 12/12 for the remainder of lifespan. Absolutely no problem. AAMOF, I've proven to myself over the years that cost of more light time on the autos is not equaled in % gain in yeild.
Makes it much easier to set up everything the same and go smoke a doob.
Reuse medium at your own peril but I'm sure there are those who do and can advise.

It sounds like a solid plan, and i cant disagree with what automan2 is saying...but just to say running 2 different strains of autos may create a problem as they will most likely have different finishing times, anywhere from 70-110 days for real, so depending on how long you want to veg your photos will depend on the finish date of your final auto, unless you decide to finish any late autos under 12/12?.. easy now!..

I'm running all the same strain on the autos, 4 purple dodgers. I honestly want the photos to get huge so I may veg them a little longer than normal. I'd like to finish all the autos out on 18/6 but they're F1s so who knows what kinda phenos I'll end up with.

Also if anyone has an opinion on this it would be helpful, would it be of benefit if I cooked the re used soil that I added the roots organics dry nutrients and microbes to or would it be wasting my time.
