Indoor Planing my first grow and need expert advice

Hello everybody my name is Jay this is my first post on AFN, and like the tittle says i'm planning on moving down to the DR and get an apartment and grow in the bedrooms, they're the average 8x8 id say, im tryna grow all the plants ican fit in the room in a SOG, like 50-100 plants id say, i was looking at theese 1600w LED they're huge and super bright can cover a really big area, would 2 or 3 of those be good enough to cover a 8x8 room ?

Someone help me on that dont tell me to go smaller since is my first grow like yall tell everyone else. Sorry

Hey Jay, First off I'd say think about how to keep the smell in check Especially in an appartement.

If iwere to grow all those plants wouldn't 1 or 2 carbon filter work?

I'd think so, but just checking since you didn't mention it yet. Only saying don't underestimate the smell of 100 weed plants

Hahha i wont, and speaking of 100 plants, what lighting to you recommend to get the job done?

Can't help you there really, I'm just a microgrower, but people do amazing things with both the HPS and the LED lights. I think the coverage is better with HPS when it comes to bigger grows but the experts can tell you more about that.

4 of those would do nicely but you also have to look at your total wattage being used in an apartment. You will also need a good air filtration system with 100 plant. how many SQFT is one room 8X8x? Are these rooms going to have tent's or or not. Is this operation needing to be Stealth or not?

Sorry but there are so many variables that you need to consider to start the layout planing phase.

1. Have you ever grown cannabis?

2. You need to plan on on at least 1 square foot per plant for the smallest plants When SOG growing. You will need for your equipment and working space. So figure at least 20% would be non used space. So an 8 X 8 foot room is 64 square foot minus 20% would be 51 plants. If you get 51 plants with a minimum of one oz of buds per plant and you are going to need a lot of odor control. I use a 6" Filter and Fan to clear the smell of 6 plants.

There is so much more to growing that planting seeds and lots of light. I would highly suggest you start with a manageable grow first to get your feet wet. The people who have experience recommend this for a reason.
