New Grower photo period plant question?

i want to start a couple new seeds 1 will prob be cheizel this is not an auto so is it ok to at first give it 20/4 light cycle instead of 18/6 or will that be to much?

That should be fine for vegging it. Just keep in mind that it will eventually have to go to 12/12 to flower and if you've still got autos going, their yields will suffer under less light.
