just a basic budget light i don't think it would cover what your planning on putting in there but i started with cheap ones myself but i think if you bought that light you would end up needing to upgrade it down the line as its only 100 wats just my opinion mind

Thanks for your reply mate. Basically i was given the setup from a good friend. It came with a 600W HID aswell but that thing is way too hot to use. I can buy a new LED but i want to brush up on all areas before i start sinking more money into it. Any recommendations on what i could use for 4 plants at a reasonable price? thanks

the new mars lights are getting lots of good reviews maybe look into them and i know it can get expensive but your really gonna need better lights when there late in flower as i think your from the UK same as me and you really want to make the risk worth it

Yeh dude uk. I'l look into a ts600 to go beside the philzon possibly

any extra lumens are sure to help anyhow i started off with viperspectra and kingbo ones myself so i was in the same position and just upgraded as i went along also if you do a journal of any kind tag me by @ putting that in front of my name like that @matt6320

Thanks tom, Would it be worth switching over to a 250W HPS bulb once flowering to increase yeild or would you stick to the 600W Philzon LED for the compele grow? I've been looking at the lights you suggested but i'm currently not back at work yet so money is tight!
Do you have any experience with HPS and what sort of heat does a 250W give off?

A 250 w isnt to bad as long as you have good extraction to get rid of the heat i used to use a 600w in a cooltube and as i said early days i used just hps then i moved onto a mix of both so you may even be able to use both lights especially in the winter and we all have to start somewere dont we growbro .i also have a old thread with both lights i will dig it out later for u

Thanks buddy, sorry to be a pain. This is a whole new venture for me but i'm enjoying it. I find myself checking on them way too often which is a bad habbit lol

we all do that and i sometimes just like to look at mine growing anyhow here's the mix grow i done i swapped back to a mix from page 4 think also if you don't want to go through the whole thread click the 2nd link and look at the harvest i got off 1 plant with a mix of led and hps
