Phenotypes

"Genotype" is the genetic and chromosomal make-up of any given individual ? it is the genetic code. "Phenotype" is the expression of body type, structure, and appearance of individuals; it results from the interaction between genotype and environment.
Specific environmental conditions are often required for certain phenotypic expressions from a given genotype. If the available nutrients, hours of sunlight, or other conditions are not available then the development of the plant or animal will be altered. These conditions are referred to as "environmental triggers."

Two individuals with the same genotype can have greatly different phenotypes if grown in different environments.

Is there anyone who can explain to me What are Phenotypes?

@Broadsword I think the word Phenotype is unclear and confusing as it is typically used for Cannabis.

If you grow clones (or seeds with very stable genetics like Blueberry) and get variations, that is genetic expression caused by environment. Phenotypes. (well, unless it is a mutation) Think about two human twins separated at birth and raised in different environments.

If you grow from seeds unstable genetics, like 4th generation seeds....
then the variations are also cause by unstable genetics (the seeds are siblings, but not exact twins), but we tend to be lazy and call them Phenotypes too, if they are cannabis

But it seems odd to me that unstable genetics in weed seeds has almost been marketed as a desirable feature.

In the rest of the world, 7th generation is the minimum, and get people get pretty upset if a merchant is selling 4th generation seeds. It is like an unfinished product, an early prototype.

I am not a breeder, I barely understand this stuff so I might be wrong, but you asked and I just saw the question. Trying to explain it helps me understand it.
