So I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forest added perlite 75/25 mix watering with well water ph 6.6 and I used a stick in pH tester from Amazon. Soil was wet but tester showed between 7 and 8 pH. Can anyone suggest a pH tester that I can get in use or how should I check my soil pH? I thought about taking some soil adding it to distilled water and check with my other pH tester for liquid. If it's that high how can I fix it? Help me out please.

I use the soil and water method. 1 part soil and 5 parts distilled water, mix well and let it sit until the majority of the debris has settled and then test.

I don’t test my soil, only the PH of the water. I use Ocean Forest also.

Inexpensive soil probes are generally not even close. Blue Lab and other Lab quality Soil probes are accurate but expensive and they wear out.

The Accurate 8 Is pretty good. The clone of it works the same so buy whichever is cheaper if you go that way.

A slurry test as described above is ok but the soil samples need to be from random depths in the pot.
