I started with one of those many moons ago. They work, but aren't to accurate. The general rules of retail still apply, meaning that you get what you pay for. But you have to find what works for you and your current situation. A basic meter like the one you posted could be a gap filler until you can get w better one. A quality soil ph meter will cost upwards of $50. I use the accurate 8.. The short/compact version.

:smoking: :yeahthat:.... Cheers Proph', I second that! Those skinny probe units are garbage, I have tested them against the A8, and they were a flop,... As an alternative to more $$ electrode bulb type (like a pH meter has, liquids only) soil pH probe, the A8 is a solid value and if used correctly, plenty accurate baring in mind it's +/- 0.2 resolution,... the built in moisture meter is handy at times as well! As with any pH probe, to get readings that are accurate, you have take them in nicely moist soil (not soggy, nor any kind of dry), and especially not after having been fert'ed right before you take the reading; this will temporarily skew results. I try to take readings the day after a feeding,.... More good instructions on the package,....
I've had mine 4+ years, and recently tested it with two soil brands against a slurry test... All readings were within 0.2 of each other -.... as long as you store it clean, someplace decently nice (not an outside shed full of chem's and crap), keep that tip buffed out before using (tarnish/corrosion will screw up readings), it should last well enough,....
Best part is the in-pot readings, at various depths if needed, real time, and none of that run-off testing BS! Between managing your input pH's (if applicable) and watching what's going on in the pot, you can avoid most pH issues, and spot them for faster correction if they do pop up... Which they can,...most every season, apples-to-apples pot-to-pot, I'll have one that starts to turn sour for whatever reason (many pH influencing factors going on down there, in true soil particularly)... the A8 helps me tag it quickly and make corrections- :greenthumb:

Thanks for the advices @Prophetiko @Waira
I was thinking of buying those cheap ones but guess they ain't worth it... Will check those accurate 8 then.
Quick question, they have to stand in the same soil at all times? Or just when i have to take readings? So... If i have to control 2/4 pots i have to buy 2/4 probes?

One probe/meter is all you need! You just insert it into your medium for a few seconds to get a reading. No need to leave it in the pot for extended times.

Will that long thick probe hurt the roots?
