pH adjustment

I planted in some soil from the yard. Three parts soil to 4-5 parts perlite and 2 parts coco.
The soil itself I tested with baking soda and vinegar, as I didn't have a pH probe yet. It made some bubbles on the vinegar sample so I assumed it was slightly alkaline.
I just received a pH probe and upon testing my soil mix it resulted in something like 5.9.
I've got a sprout planted in there and she seems to be doing well but I guess that the pH if not corrected would eventually be an issue.
If I continue to water with pH 7 water will the soil eventually change to the pH of the water? Do I need to do something else to change it?

Listen to your plant,...I mean looks...
Just keep an eye open for def'c...
If the situation goes bad, you may want to take a water sample from run off to check PH.
Soil PH, not water PH being off,... causes all kinds of problems that lead most folks to over feed.
When in fact the issue is the soil being out of whack.
So reading the run off ph gives you an idea of whats going on in the soil.
What are you feeding it as nute?

Cool,
When I planted my seed into coco.
The seedling started showing signs if Magnesium def'c.
So although we're all concerned with calcium deficientcies, even though I buffered the coco, I still had Mag problems.
And yes my PH has been kept in check..
