Hey guys just wanted to pick your brains over something.... if someone was to have enough space for a 2x4x5 grow and a 2'x4'x2.5' grow... what would your thoughts be on starting plants off under a T5 in the small chamber then moving them to the larger HPS chamber for the last 5 weeks whilst a new batch is started in the smaller T5 chamber.. I figure this way a perpetual grow can be acheived with a harvest approx every 5 weeks... However I am wondering whether the time under flouro would have a negative impact on the final yield. Very little weight is added in the first 2 weeks of "flower" so im leaning towards thinking that if the plant has vegged nicely, and the number of bud sites is good, then final yield shouldnt be too badly affected after 5 weeks of 600w HPS goodness. Has anyone had any experience of a setup like this? Will 5 weeks of t5 lighting from above result in plants that are too underdeveloped to yield well. In the past when I have used flouros I have been impressed with vegetative growth tho flowering obviously is less impressive.
Growing medium/method would be DWC most likely oxypots connected to a high performance pump. If the plants growth hasnt been too unruly in the first 5 weeks then i would attempt to scrog them upon moving them to the HPS lit tent/room. Strain will be Think Different as i was impressed with Seymour's grow and want to see what 600w HPS/DWC can do with it
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
