Dana Larsen is at it again, get your free 100 Cannabis seed if you live in Canada. I got these last year, no strings attached. http://overgrowcanada.com/

Here is a copy/past of the info:

"I am offering the same variety as last year. A low-THC, high-CBD strain called Freedom Dream. I've given away nine million seeds since we launched this campaign in 2016.

The goal of this campaign is to get these plants growing in public places. Sprout them at home and get them started, then put the seedlings in traffic circles, community parks, city hall gardens, and anywhere else where they can be seen and enjoyed by everyone.

Many people have been growing these plants at home, to produce a source of CBD. That's fine too!

Donations are not mandatory, but they are appreciated! You can donate a few dollars by clicking here. "

Awesome a million cbd plants, males and females all over the place spreading pollen to pollinate every bodies plants, and its a good idea?? Sorry to be a pessimist, but this is not very well thought out for outdoor growing.......i know as a medical grower, i would be super pissed off if there was a few dozen of these plants even remotely close to me.

LOL...its not you that is suggesting this bud. I would think that some common sense would be used when making a suggestion like the one i quoted. Yeah its great that they want people to see the beautiful plants, but in reality these plants can cause great harm to folks that are growing for both medical and recreational. Seriously....would you want your plants to be pollinated by a cbd strain that is 8%? I rely on my medications to keep me going. And this could potentially screw my season.

I've been trying to do side grows of one of these since I got the seeds last year. I finally got 1 female out of 7 attempts. Not sure if I was just extremely unlucky or if these seeds tend to produce more males ( sorry @Weed Warrior) I know your not going to love hearing that. And you do have a valid point.

A little about the plant, mine is just over a month old. It grows like crazy but it just wants to be a thin stick. I have bent her over a few times and nada, no way it's gonna grow a branch. Seems like a fast flower, she started budding out at week 3. I might share pics at some point but I'm a little embarrassed of her to be honest.

Anyone else grow one of these out ?

Was told the other day that these are not a cbd strain,One of the guys from my fishing group said he has been getting them from the start and i guess Dana just says cbd so theres no real push back by the police lol

Said he's liked all the ones that he grew out so far anyways

That's actually a bit of a let down. I was sort of hoping for a low tch high cbd plant. I know the ones from 2016 are not the same cbd strains. Are you sure those aren't the ones he's still using ?

I've been thinking about this a bit. My first impression was yea, you're right. But I think I am going to have to disagree. I'm not really a math guy but I think you might have better odds of winning the lottery than getting pollinated by one of these plants.

So with just some rough estimates, I would think at most the average person would maybe only set up and try and grow 5 of these seeds. Lets go on the safe side and say 10. Of the one million seeds, that means only 100k even have a chance of seeing paper towel/soil. Of that 100k you would have to assume, despite my bad luck, that about 50% of them are females. That means we are down to 50k seeds that's have a chance of finding there way to you. Now, of those 50k seeds you can go even further. I would say that only half of them make it out of the paper tower/soil and further more even making it past 2 weeks on the window ledge. I am pretty sure it's mostly new guys thinking, what a cool idea and unsuccessfully trying them. Plus I have faith that a few of the growers are experienced enough to pull the males. Than add the chances one of those seeds are in the proximity to pollinate yours or anyone else, I think you're safe.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree and think Dana is doing more good than harm here.
