Well, temps here have been 90-100 for the past week. I was wondering if this was the cause of my hermie nanner? I will be checking all my plants INDEPTH for the next coming days. Anyone know if outdoor heat can cause a plant to grow male parts?

Ps they get 10-11 hrs of direct sun a day, watered every 3-4days.

I couldn't see that heat stressing the plant enough to hermie unless you had a HUGE temp change :2cents:

actually stressful conditions can induce a few nanners... some strains are more susceptible than others.... what strain is it mate?

Surprisingly the nanner was on my Pineapple Express. I hope my other strains were not effected when I plucked the nanner.

yes, heat is a stressor, and any stress can make a strain which is"hermi weak" show...

correct JM...and was it a female seed? some fem makers have sub-standard practices...which can lead to a whole batch being susceptible..

Yes, seed was feminized Pineapple Express by G13 labs. It was not a seed. When I was poking at the sac I seen what seemed to be white flower material inside it. After plucking it off it was confirmed...no seed. Only thing I can think is I waited too long between watering and the hear got to them? I waitu ntil my pots are light when I pick them up compared to when watered. SO bone dry I guess you could say. HOPEFULLY if it was a male sac I didnt spread pollen around my other girls. I did not see any liquid/powder inside so I assume no pollen was produced yet.

the pineapple seed was/is obviously hermi prone... or better put it can hermi under stress.. You have proved this, many other strains will also do this. Thats why a proper female seed production has a stress test grow where a room of plants are subjected to stressors, IMO ph stress is the worst...have you checked your ph?

Yes, PH is steady 6.5-6.8 I water with 6.5 phd water.
