Hi fellow growers I have an issue if someone could take a look and throw some advice my way please.
I have a rare disease so I’m trying learn to grow fully organic pref veganic.

In my switch over I am having issues in flower, from around week 2 of flower the bitches be going yellow from the outer edge in and brown spots to dying out leaves this early.
Everything threw veg is going great but this is 3 cycle now of it happening so by now I’m over thinking the F out of it.
They are all autos in coco

What should I be using ?
Am I missing something ?
Lockout / deficiencies ?

I brew once a week here is what I have to play with -

Worm castings
Insect frass
Alfalfa meal
Kelp meal
Soft rock phosphate
Molasses
Mammoth P
Great white
EM1
Green sand ( purchased today )
Humic and fulvic acid ( purchased today )

A product containing ( meal worm frass, neem cake, gypsum, basalt rock dust, sea weed meal, crustacean meal, humic and fulvic acid.

Microbe tea containing
  • 8 Species of Endo mycorrhizal fungi
  • 8 Species of Bacillus

Where did you get the information or idea to add all of those amendments to coco?

What are you feeding them that has an NPK value?

Coco has to be fertigated at a certain PH level.. I didn't see a mention of you checking ph..

This is definitely a lock out.. Which nutrients are in excess and which nutrients are locked out? It's almost impossible to know at this point.

Your best bet would be to check the ppms/ec and ph of the runoff and flush the coco until the ppms are back in range.

I use the insect frass worm castings molasees kelp and rock phosphate and mammoth p in a brew once per week.

every 2-3 weeks top dress with insect frass and the product with the neem cake gypsum etc....
every 2 weeks use the microbe tea.

i Thought to believe that in organic growing I don’t need to ph ? In veg never p.h and everything went great.
do I p.h the water before or after the brew ?
those things mentioned earlier are the things I have available to hand.
what would you recommend for flower tea recipe ?
in veg I use alfalfa kelp incest frass and worm castings and the first 5 weeks I’m having no issue there

Coco is much like hydro.. I have yet to see a successful grow when trying to use coco like an organic soil. Coco is inherent. Which means it has no npk value.. All of those ingredients have to be used in the correct ratios. You can't just mix them all together and make a brew/tea.. There's a huge difference between half a cup and half a teaspoon. I grow organically in soil.. I don't ph anything. but coco is not soil.. It's soilless. And it requires you to use ph'd water or feeds every time they are used. I wouldn't recommend adding anything else until you know the ppms and ph that you're currently dealing with.

I forgot to say thank you for replying and the advice, I have a 50l water tank just checked p.h it was 8.0 lol wtffff wonder why there’s no issue in veg tho :s
ye I know there’s measurements i thought be saying what I used was enough info my bad.

I use from 1 - 2 tea spoons for those amendments all in one product and soft rock phosphate and molasses.
alfalfa kelp insect frass worm castings are used at 1/4 cup all based on using 2-3 gallons of water.

just flushed them at 6.0 and I’ll give them a small feed in a few days and see how they react. (perhaps worm castings and kelp)
There’s lots of information out there which contradicts each other so I guess that’s I how I ended up in this mess.
if there’s any more advice it would be much appreciated

The best advice I can give is to pick a grow style first. If you want to be organic with a "water/tea" only type of grow, then you will need a good living soil. If you want to feed the plant all of the amendments you have, then you need a starter medium like promix or happy frog. If you want to grow in coco, you'll need to ph all the time and you will want to use some sort of nutrient line, not dry amendments..

Alfalfa npk... 2-1-1
Insect frass npk... 2-2-2
Kelp npk... 1-2-1
Rock phosphate npk... 0-3-0

That's an average npk of 1-2-1.. That's not gonna get you through flower very well

Then add in all the calcium, magnesium, zinc etc that is made available by the dry amendments and you can easily have an excess of one or more secondary nutrients.

I use teas like two or the times total throughout an entire photoperiod grow.. Every two weeks is a lot. Picking a grow style first will help eliminate many of these kind of issues.

Hey man! It’s my first time posting here, noob grower. You seem very knowledgeable so wanna ask a question. I am currently doing dry amendments in coco and doing alright. But I heard ProMix is better. Bx or HP? Also, instead of dry amendments, if I use megacrop, what would be my ph be going in? I googled ProMix ph and it’s 5.2-5.8. Would I water between that range? Or should I raise the ph with dolomite?
So many questions I apologize. Thanks in advance.
