I rushed to change my light sched for flower (photoperiod CBD Medikit from Buddha Seeds), and accidentally left the damn thing ON for about 28 hours straight.

Plant looked ok, but in dire need of a drink. Sprang back to life about an hour after a thorough watering.

Worried about down the line. Could this one-time overexposure be really harmful?

Others may know better, but I'd assume that the stress from media getting a little bit dried out is totally temporary, has already been fixed.

I'd also assume that the light intensity you normally use will not harm the plant simply because you didn't give it a dark period. Any light burning/drying or bleaching would be visible in real time (you'd already be seeing it).

In in terms of being a photo vs. auto plant, the plant is simply too young to worry about messing up photoperiod daily light flipping requirements.

[Photoperiod plants full-time under even 24 hours artificial light, such as in hotel or other building lobbies, outside under street lights, etc. don't seem to have major problems from this (other than their flipping from veg to bloom could be affected)].

You should be ok if it was only that one time. I did this a couple times during my last photo grow and it was ok. I actually f'd up 2 or 3 times thinking that I put it back on the timer. Over shot my lights out period by 10hrs the first time and 3 hours the second time. Feel like it happened a 3rd time but I think I caught it like 10 minutes after it was suppose to turn off. I got lucky, my first grow on here hermied from leaving the room lights on once. I think it really depends how far in flower it is and how much stress its already under and the stabilityof the genetics. Your plant looks really good, really early in flower cycle so I think you're good. Always keep an eye out regardless of light cycle screw ups. Hermies can just happen though its really really rare.

Update on this girl, who truly did not GAF about the accidental light overdose at the end of veg! She’s 3 weeks into flower now, stacking nicely, frosting up, and starting to smell! Dipped the RH% down yesterday where I’ll keep it for the rest of flower, and light should be around 1000-1100 PPFD. Also dosing with Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom, which also seems to be really favorable for this CBD strain!

Didn’t think it would hurt, many times this happening may cause germ traits to show… in an old grow a couple yrs back we had multiple power outages during one month… I had nanners show up about 2 wks before harvest.

Nanners just before harvest is the best time for them… not enough time to produce seed.
