Hi everyone,

I have a Gorilla Glue Auto and an AK auto--both 8 weeks old today!

They are definitely flowering--but have some ways to go.

I have a couple of questions:
1) I have been using Botanicare Nutrients Pure Blend Pro Bloom that my local garden store recommended. Because I read that autos are extra sensitive to nutrients. I have been feeding really lightly---one teaspoon per gallon--this is 1/4 of the total recommended on the label.

Does this seem ok to you experienced growers?

2) The plants are pretty bushy (that's the AK in the picture) and my grow tent is getting crowded. Can I trim some leaves to open the plants up a bit?

Thanks!

Rather than trim healthy leaves, I'd do LST, bend and tie down the longer side branches, with this exposing more bud sites and hopefully causing more branching with more bud sites. And then if there are still a few leaves blocking bud sites, tuck or pick them.

I'd clean out the lower 1/3 or 1/4 of all greenery. It's not going to get enough light to make much and by removing, they'll be more nutes for the rest of the plant! Just keep in mind not to do too much at once ... :headbang:

hey @urban farmer... 1/4 strength sound perfects (little is more), all the leaves are still green and health so I think you all good on that amount for the nutes...

I would do a bit of defoliating in the center of the plant and tidy up the lowers as well. This will help loads with light penetration... maybe use some string to pull the outer branches to the out side of the pot (LST), opening up the center of the plant even more and getting the light to those lower bud sites...to be safe if your worry's about pissing your plants off and slowing them down I would take just few leaves a day and complete the the defoliation over few days to a week...

all is looking good :pass:
