New Grower Nutrient schedule?

This may sound like a silly question but i need some guidance in this area!

How often should you feed a plant?
Do you use nutes with every watering or what routine should they be fed?

I have some auto's at the moment that are about two weeks old.
Usually i wait till the third set of leaves before starting any nutes.

Yesterday when i was watering them i flushed with water and waited for it to drain.
Then i mixed up a batch of 1/4 strength nutes and Cal-Mag and re-watered again till run off.

This morning when i checked on them they have almost doubled in size!

So should i be feeding with 1/4 strength nutes from now on at every watering?
I don't want to over do it and burn them.

Any help??

Here is a picture of a nute chart that I use with the nutes I am currently running. They amounts can be different depending on the strains so you just have to keep an eye on them and adjust accordingly. I start my nutes week 1 when I see the 3rd set of leaves formed so that is my week 1. These are all per gallon measurements.

Hello Lazy. It would be helpful to know what brand of nutes you are running to get a more specific answer. If you are using the trio like me then I recommend following FD's Fox Farm Feed Schedule. I have no idea what I am doing, and should not give advice. I have my 3, three week old plants in 3 gallon buckets. I keep jugs of tap water uncovered to let the chlorine evaperate, then I pre mix gallon jug of water with advanced nutriants ph perfect micro, veg bloom. I water each plant 250 ml per day till the nutriant water is gone, then I use a gallon jug of no nutriant water till its gone, then go back to nutriant water. I do not water every day, some times I water 3 days in a row then take a day off, or I water every other day. I check to see how dry the soil is by sticking my finger in the soil. It seems to work out well, everything is green and perky. I mist the leaves sometimes, but not with the nutriant water, I would not mist the leaves during bud development. I thin everyone over waters and over thinks everything just be moderate and conservative, better to be a little dry then wet, watch out for root rot and mold from too much moisture...remember l am a moron and should not give advice. I like wicki books, there is a good grow guide, Ill send a link if u like...ps be wery of experts, because no one knows anything when they say they do...

These nutes are the first 2 part that i've used, when you say 2ml for say the grow, does that mean 2ml each of A and B? or 1ml of each?

it would mean 2ML of each bottle but i wouldn't start on that, i would use 0.5ML of each bottle if its their first feed with nutes and then slowly increase it as they get older and bigger. hope this helps a bit

Are you using Canna AB? If so then 2ml each.

I've been wondering this also, and today I feed the nutes the first time. They've been in coco and under the lights for 9 days now. I've waited for the 3rd set of leaves but the growth has pretty much turned to a crawl. They're healthy otherwise. And my reasoning is if they'd be in soil there'd be some nutes already. Now I start with 3,5 ml/10 L. Canna's light feed schedule gave 15ml/10L. Also, could the light play part in this? So far they've been 24h, as it was advised by some during the veg.

I used the Gh box set for my first grow and they were okay.
Followed the chart and the results were fair.
Not all the plants responded the same.

I am now using a Gh FloraNova Bloom with the addition of Cal-Mag.

It is not so much of a question about nutes but how frequently i should use them when watering.
Should they be used at every watering or should i space it out and do a flush for one watering and then nutes for the next?

I just see some grows where they seem to grow a few inches overnight.
I don't want to starve them and make the grow last longer than it should because i was doing something wrong by under feeding.

Judging by the results from yesterday i should be using them at every feeding.
I will post up some pics from yesterday and this morning to see the difference!

Mine are made by advanced nutrients, guessing the same?
