Hi guys, I've got a real simple question!

What is the ideal method for mixing your nutrients?

Do you leave the plain water out for 24 hours to let chlorine evaporate, then add nutrients and close the lid on your bottle and it's all good?

or is that not the correct way?

thanks alot

Let the plain water breath at least 24 hours, then mix, then let that breath a bit, then use.

He got you... I bubble my tap for 24 hrs... it helps evap chlorine and ensures your delivering 100% 02 saturated water to the roots. I mix then let sit for an hour for you AN nutes to buffer properly

So your nutrient water has to be used straight away? its not okay to store it? say you use half the bottle and then the other half the next day?

Some say you can let it sit but I don't know.

I mix 2 days worth each time so mine never sits longer than that.

If the nutes come as solutions, it should be ok to keep it a few days. Be aware of the possibility for yeast and other microbes growing in the container.
If you use a powdered nute. Read package label. A powder brought into solution will usually have reduced shelf life. Liquids are stabilized from the manufacturer.

Due to the danger of fast growing yeasts in a container with water and fertlilizers, I would use it within 48 hrs.

I have let sit for a day with AN but anything longer I have noticed separation and a film forming on the top of the water
