Hey folks! Not sure if this is normal or not. Figured I say something before it's too late.

-Problem: fan leaves yellowing and falling off.

-Medium/grow method: soil; foxfarm ocean forest

-Feed and supplements used: advanced nutrients sensi grow/bloom mix A/B 10-12ml per gallon. Plus 4ml foxfarm calmag.

-Water source: tap water sits for usually 24-48hrs +

-Strain and age: CBD jack Herer, about 98 days from seed, 3 weeks on 12/12 now

-Climate: rh 40-50%. Temps generally 80-90f

- Light used: LEDs. Mehzi single cob, purple King led light, 3 spot bulbs with dome removed. Total wattage for lights is 300w at the wall.

-Additional info: fan leaves have been yellowing and come off rather easy.

Losing fan leaves and yellowing is normal all leaves die at some point. However, i had alot of problems and had problema every single grow with fox farms ocean forest. Seems around week 6 of life my plants leaves started dying due to my soil ph being out of wack. Switched soils and havent had a problem since. Have you checked your ph going in? And your run off coming out?

Thanks! I have had an eye on the pH in an out. I imagine the soils has been drained, it's been in the running for 12+ weeks.

This photo plant has been the most consistent and least finicky. Bloom nutes are going in more and more. I transition from veg to bloom nutes and I'm at about 75% bloom.

I think the fans falling is part of the growth and progression. But I don't want to miss anything. The leaves look good. This plant got a bit out of hand since I started it with autos and had to let the autos finish before switching to 12/12.

She looks good..if your controlling ph properly then maybe up your bloom nutrients.
Thanks. Bloom nutes are going up. The cannopy is pretty think. Got her spread out over 3*2 feet area and it's barely enough. The bottom doesn't have any direct light ..

Thanks for the feedback. Let's see how she does going forward.

:toke: -- N defc. mainly, and/if they are in light starved zones, this is a normal shut down response,... I don't see the usual large necrotic patches that P defc. makes, but it's borderline to my eye regardless, so hit the bloom! Since you are using FFOF, I'd be wary of the pH in-pot, this soil is dubious as is, but tends to go sour later in the grow in particular,... If it does, or is, P is one of the first things to get locked out....

Agreed on the issues with fox farms soil. I also had pH problems with some plants using ocean forest. I also put some used FFOF (after rinsing thoroughly) into my super soil mix, and I regret doing so. I did a remix, adding a lot of peat moss and reamended, and I think the new mix is going to be a lot better.

Anyway, Karl, I think your plant is looking pretty great. I've run mostly autos, but your plant makes me want to grow out a photo and use a scrog, or at least a trellis. In fact, I have a one week old Jack Herer that I think I'm going to do so with.

Good advice in this thread, as stated, keep on your pH and keep giving her bloom nutes, and the grow nutes as well as she does seem to want a little more N. Great job!

Thanks for the input and feedback. Here are some new pictures, I see some spotting on the tips now, this is just on a few leaves.

I'm on 10ml bloom a+b from AN sensi line. Tricomes are coming in now, smells great.

Any thoughts on these spots?

I did have my purple light on which makes these pictures not so great.
