just a quick question on autoflowering, not many in my neck of the woods have had any experience with these beautys, I'm growing 4 plants in airpots with canna coco with 600w in a 1.5x1.5 tent, my question is, in my canna nute table there is a veg phase of nutes and generative phase of nutes, with this being an autoflower do I skip to the gen phase or do I follow the table from veg? also I'm finding it hard to get distilled water to crack the seeds will de-ionised water be ok? I've also been advised not to put the seeds under the light until they start to root but other posts mention putting them under from day one, can anyone clarifiy this please

cheers

I take it the generative stage means flower stage. They should have veg nutes until the vertical growth slows or stops and then start flower nutes.Deionized water will work for seed soak for 24 hrs then in paper towls kept warm and moist and in the dark until the tap root is at least a quarter inch long, then put in grow mix about a quarter inch deep and put under lights and kept moist until they break soil.:smokebuds:

Welcome to AFN. That nute table has been formulated for photo sensitive plants, not autos. Autos tend to be a bit more nute sensitive and generally won't take more than about 1/2 strength. Start out low, 1/4 and work up. Concerning the lights, they aren't needed till the plants break the surface of the soil, but they can be useful to supply a bit of additional heat. Just keep them up fairly high so the heat isn't too intense. Seedlings like a warm, moist environment. Once the seedlings are up, raise or lower your light to keep your node spacing at around 1".

Take a look at this thread, it should give you an idea of what to expect from your plants. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html
