Hi All,
I am about to start an outdoor grow (legal here in CA cause we have our Med Cards...YAY!!!!)

The soil here is pretty good...i.e. drop any seed on the ground and it grows.

SO my question, should I mix the native soil with some kind of soil mix? If so, with what type of soil mix? If not, what is the recommended soil mix for outdoor Autos?

Thanks in Advance...

If the soil is good and other plants grow well I would use your soil mixed 2 to 1 with a soilless mixture like pro-mix (or use peat moss amended with a little dolomite lime to keep it more neutral) and then use organic nutes like something from the espoma line, at half recommended strength. If you are growing smaller autos, dig approximately a 3 gallon hole, for larger autos I would dig a 5-6 gallon hole.

Treeman nailed it..although I recommend ammendments to soil...but as its yer backyard.... u lucky dog u... a liquid fert should do nicely as u can visit yer plants an keep an eye on them.

Yea, wife and I got our Med cards last weekend, now time to grow our own meds. No guerrilla grows...totally legit...and yes...I get to visit the babies all day every day! I can hardly wait to get my seeds and start!
