Over the weekend i wound up picking up this sweet bong made by Illadelph. It's a company based out of Phillidelphia and there is only 1 head shop in my area that sells this brand so i was intrigued mainly because their website is intimidating as they do not advertise the more "cheaper" selections http://www.illadelphglass.com/illadelph-photo-galleries/

I picked this piece and it is solid! and he threw in a illadelph bowl piece for oils and concentrations ($60 value) for free. It'a a bout a foot and a half tall, deep amber color on the down stem and lettering, ice catcher makes for really nice soothing clean HUGE rips.

I also got this handy dandy Herb Iron. the tip is made out of ceramic. you plug it in, press the button wait 8 seconds and wave it over your bud. gets really hot super fast and practically vapes my weed. I can taste all the flavors on my herb and i'm already in love with this thing. they run for $75 and come with a lifetime warranty!

Also, for no particular reason other than being stoned and at the headshop, i decided to pick up a pack of each kind of rolling papers they had. They didn't have a huge collection but i was able to pick up enough to do some kind of rolling paper test, see which ones wind up being my favorite! :toke:

My last pickup of the day was a half ounce of one of my favorite strains floating around here - Biesel! (b3 x NYCD)

i'm w/ wiz...hahaha

Zig Zag ultra thin for me plz...hehe very nice bong spels!

the herb iron looks like a soldering iron, i bought my soldering iron for like 20 bucks... nice "water pipe" though

TMB, that was my first concern before i even purchased the herb iron. I could see myself setting it down on a plastic bag or what if i dropped it?when i do set it down the tip does not touch the surface of what you sit it down on because the handle is thick and almost a banana shape lol. I would advocate for a nifty holding stand though for safety measures. I guess the difference between the herb iron and a regular soldering iron is that even though it stays plugged in, you have to be holding down the button for it to remain hot. and it has a ceramic replacement tip instead of metal. The instant heat from this thing is amazing! says it takes up to 5 minutes to fully become "cold" again after prolonged use.

heres a review video on it from Chubb and Tang.

The first time i used it i did in fact drop in, right on the cat bed. The tip was covered in cat furr and i freaked out for a minute thinking i ruined it, then pressed the button and watched it all burn away leaving a clean ceramic tip again. It did the same thing with any herb that got on the tip. self cleaning! cool. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty and one "fuck i broke it" replacement within a year of purchase.

Thanks for the compliments on the glass selection guys! It took me a good hour of looking around at the shop and it came down between this illedelph and an everest with tree and dome percolators. In the end i picked the illadelph because the glass was thicker, it was way easier to clean and it has this beautiful amber/wood color that i could not take my eyes off of. the everest looked cool and offered up a very clean filetered out smoke but i've had those kinds of pieces before and they become more of a pain in the ass than something to rely on in the end. I like a nice clean bong every time i smoke and its just so damn hard to get into all those tight spaces, not to mention a bitch trying to get all of the water out all the branches of the tree perc. lol

I bought a hakko 456 soldering iron and took the tip off and I just use the internal ceramic element. I dropped it once and broke it bought a replacement element for 10 bucks. Good call on the glass i had an everest piece that broke in like 2 months I was not very happy.

Haha I love a good buzz induced spending splurge, mine always seem to be on munchies though. I think you will really like the raw rolling papers, they are my favs anyway. Do they make any smaller battery powered versions of that herb iron?
