I am a newbie at growing and I started my germination in a peat pellet. The seedling has already popped through the soil. When I lifted the peat pellet up I noticed the taproot coming out from the bottom of the pellet and I don't know what to do. I was just under the impression that I was supposed to leave the seedling in the peat pellet and put under lights until roots appear before transplanting it. I'm just confused because the seedling is 6 days old today and a root has already appeared from the bottom of the peat pellet.

Put the plant, peat pellet and all into a pot w/ the mildest non pre fertilized soil you can find ... water ... place under light ... wait ...

And that's it right?

Right now everything is on the up and up. I transplanted the seedling about 5 days in FFOF and watered my first time last night. I'm using about 140 watts of full spectrum LED's and I have them around 23" from the plant. Knock on wood but everything is looking positive so far.
