Hey everyone, I've been lurking around the forum for a few months and stockpiling as much info as possible. I'm in the final stages of a 1gal soil grow of Pyramid's Auto Purple and plan on switching to DWC once this grow is finished. Figured it was time to come out of the shadows now that legalization has passed where I live and we can grow up to six plants!:smoke:

Thanks Eyes, you're in the DMV area?? I figured DWC was worth a try after seeing how it blows soil out the water in comparison to yield and rate of growth but we'll see how my first grow goes, I'm waiting on my HTG Bubble Boy and seeds to arrive. I'll definitely do start a journal because I'll need all the help I can get.

Yer in DC yeah.? Im not far bro.yeah if your a yield guy, thats awesome. good smoke ,but far inferior to tlo buds properly done.DWC is generally a tough nut to crack early on man.Its fairly expensive to do it right..or any type of a more proper grow.but all in all tlo over your first cpl years will be cheaper.if you plan ahead your quality ad well as ease of growing to get you started will be far easier imho than anything else. yet with the help you can get here ive seen more than a few ppl stumble less and achieve a solid dwc grow early early on which is a great feat too. lol cuz its a very precise growing method. but imho soil is going to be a far easier entry method to get your chops down and then tackle a tougher more precise method my friend. buuut if you wet tlo early on youll prolly never go back once you dial it in for a grow or three and feel that quality over other buds.

trust me bro if your new to growing dont worry about yields right yet.worry about technique man and style and proper basic methods.if ya have any questions your welcome to PM me.or start your journal n ill try n find ya but Im not a DWC guy though, but there are some killer water dudes around man.:Sharing One:

Welcome bro!

Have you thought about doing an nft grow? Reason I ask is that it's a bit easier than DWC, I've managed it ok and that's saying something for my ungreen fingers!

I've done 3 grows with soil but buying (good) soil adds up and the DWC system I purchased was pretty cheap @ $41 incl shipping so I figured it was worth a try.

Bilbo I haven't heard of nft growing but after a quick google search it looks very interesting! My tent is 31"x31"x63" and I think a one 5gal DWC system will be sufficient enough to fill the tent, especially with the seeds I ordered.

Welcome to AFN and good luck with your grow. I will tag along if you don't mind. The change in the law will help on this side of the river, I hope.

That's a good price to start with, I'll be subbed for a grow log!

I could manage to grow more plants with a 4 pot DWC and it would be much easier being able to move the plants around without having to empty the res but I can't keep my nft res cool enough in the summer as it is without trying to cool 4 pot's.

eh ya just have to learn to recycle your soils properly thats all bro.soil is far cheaper as far as organics an living organics go,than any dwc system or most any other system in the long term. Best of luck with your grows buddy.looking forward to following along.:Sharing One:
