Hi guys n gals. So I'm about to get my first proper auto grow started, and was gonna go with my usual routine of coco and ionics nutes. Then I see the EASY auto feeding schedule by @TaNg and am wondering if I should follow that to the letter and see if I get decent results. I've never grown in soil before...

I've had great results from coco, but always with photos. My whole setup got scrapped a few years ago, so I've bought all new now. The only things left to buy are pots, nutes and media.
I've always done 5 photo plants in a 1.2m (4x4?) tent, but have decided to try a kind of semi-sog 9 autos with my new kit.
So there ya have it, would you recommend soil or coco for this grow, and what size pots would you recommend? (I'm only aiming for 1.5 zips a plant average)

In a 4x4 tent i would go with 9 -2gallon pots..but i think(jmo) that since you have had good results with coco,you should stay with that style/media..sog is not a widely used method with autos,so when you get rollin,document it for all of us to see...
I'm not sure I can call 9 plants, in a 1.2m space, a full on sog but it's what I've decided to try. I'm definitely gonna be documenting for all to see, and hopefully I don't screw it up too badly lol
I'll see which way my mood takes me when I head to the hydro shop this weekend. I may stick with the coco, but TaNg's recipe for auto success sure does look tempting!

I seem to remember another member putting 24 plants in roughly that same space,after a few weeks of growth he had to move half to a second tent,he had a short growing strain,i dont remember which member( i'll search for it).but autos dont have the control photos do with the veg/flower and light cycle..in our game anything is possible!! Yes 2 gallon isapprox 9l..ill be watching..and..if you go with tang and soil you'll go good as well..I'm not sure I can call 9 plants, in a 1.2m space, a full on sog but it's what I've decided to try. I think I remember seeing it when flicking through threads.
I figure if I keep the secondaries to 4 max on each plant I should be able to manage them in the space, just...

Ya you should be fine..i remember telling him it was doable it would just take a lot of work... We can do anything we want,theres no rules till we make em..
I grow in soil always have always will but if you do just don't buy cheap shit get some good stuff&get wormcastings to mix in..[emoji16]
