So I just can't really find any full guides on this stuff I got a cheap 2 gallon chamber kit on ebay.

The oil looks really low on it and there's like an oil dial and a spot to fill the oil or something? Would love an explanation on this stuff or just a link to a thorough guide on vacuum pumps.

Why are there 2 spots for oil on the pump, the blue and red knobs?

Why is there oil in the gauge and in the pump?

Only thing I would suggest is pour the oil in the actual oil chamber (the red cap) and not the oil exhaust chamber, it all comes from the same place yes, but I believe oil can spew out unnecessarily through the exhaust cap (the big blue cap) if you put oil in through that way and if you have not got enough oil in it will not vac properly it needs to be at lest 1/2 full the oil in the gauge stops the needle slaming into the needle stop on discharge of vacum
